Oversized Sweater Weather

How to Wear an Oversized Sweater // Hunting for Pink Flamingos

You know how sometimes you’ll buy an item, and you just want to wear it every day? That’s how I feel about this oversized sweater. I wore it three times in the first ten days I had it, and I’m not even a little bit embarrassed by that.

Here are a few of the reasons I’m obsessed:

  • It’s warm and cozy. I hate being cold, so thick sweaters are my favorite. I’m still wearing a thermal under this sweater, but I don’t need a scarf or a vest to put on top. (I get cold easily, ok?)
  • It’s long in the front and back. Which means that it’s acceptable to wear with leggings! I mean, I still wear leggings as pants all the time, but a long sweater means that I can acceptably do it in public. πŸ™‚
  • It’s like a poncho, but different. I’ve been admiring ponchos for a while, but I’m always afraid that the lack of sides will make me cold (see #1). So this feels like a nice in between.

In other warm and cozy news, Matt and I bought a Keurig on Cyber Monday! My only condition was that we had to buy reusable K cups because I hate how much waste regular K cups create. (And as my mom pointed out, it’s way cheaper to do reusable K cups.)

I’m actually really surprised by how much I like it. I’ve been having coffee most mornings just as an excuse to use it.

I only started drinking coffee a year and a half ago (the weekend Matt and I got engaged, actually), so this feels like a whole new world for me. And it’s a very exciting one. I also bought Equal Exchange coffee (they sell it at our church, so it’s so easy to get), which makes me feel like I’m making a small bit of difference in the world. πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading!

P.S. If you haven’t had the Equal Exchange chocolate bars, I highly recommend them. I’ve found them at Kroger and a lot of health food stores, or you can get them online! The caramel sea salt is my favorite. (Though to be fair, I’ve only tried two flavors. Because the caramel sea salt is SO GOOD.)
