Wear to Work Wednesday: Ruffles Pt. 2

Ruffled Top for Spring

There’s something about wearing ruffles that just feels like spring to me. (Like in this post.) It’s like a fun, light trend to wear after layering myself in sweaters and scarves all winter, and I just love it when the wind blows the ruffles around.

I was also pretty pumped in general for this photo shoot. I’d just finished my wedding hair/makeup trial (I promise this is the last set of pics we took that day), I was wearing ruffles, and Matt agreed to let me wear his Ray Bans, even though he told me that I probably wouldn’t look as fly as he did when he wore them. πŸ™‚

I’m not going to lie – when I tried this top on for the first time, I didn’t like it. I’d grabbed it in both this gray/blue and magenta, and when I put them on, I thought that the fit was off and the ruffles were kind of weird. So I walked away and went to look at other stores.

Of course, about 30 minutes later, I decided that the gray/blue color was actually one I really needed in my closet and that the top wasn’tΒ that weird. So I went back to LOFT to get it.

However, the one I’d tried on wasn’t back on the rack yet, and the only other shirt in my size was the one on the display mannequin. Which meant that I went the completely normal route of tracking down someone who worked in the store and asking her to take the top off the mannequin for me. Yes, she probably thought I was super weird, but hey, I got the shirt.
