Black Dress, Two Ways

I feel like most people have a neutral color of choice – black, white, navy, etc. – and I think it’s pretty clear that I’m one of the ones who gravitates toward black.

I arrange the items in my closet by color (a method I swear helps me get dressed faster) and in the middle of the dresses, there’s a huge chunk of black. I say that there’s nothing wrong with this situation because black dresses are so versatile. It’s easy to throw on a jacket or a cardigan or a scarf, and when you’re packing for trips, it saves serious room in your suitcase.

The two options here – black dress/cute sandals and black dress/blue cardigan/nude heels – are a couple of my favorite spring options, though I just wore a black dress, moto jacket, and colorful scarf when I was at my sister’s (freezing cold) graduation last weekend. And I loved that combo, too!

In other news, Matt and I registered for several of these glass jars, and I’ve already put one of them to use as a cookie jar. It was definitely my best decision of the month. It’s so easy to just reach in and break off part of a cookie when I don’t necessarily want the whole thing, and it’s also inspired me to try some of the cookie recipes I have laying around! I highly recommend it.
