Flower Power Romper

Floral Romper for Spring

I’ve been hesitant about rompers up until this point. I think they’re really cute, but they also feel impractical to me. (Hello, you basically have to undress to go to the bathroom.)

I’d gotten to the point where I decided that I was going to start trying on rompers in stores, and then I found this pattern. So I thought, “Hey, I’ll just make my own!”

Of course, I had the pattern for almost a year before I even opened it, so I clearly wasn’t that motivated. But I found this crazy floral print fabric at a great warehouse-like fabric store, and it just felt right to make it into a romper.

Real quotes from Matt throughout the making of this romper:

  • “Oh, I didn’t know you were a mechanic.” (To be fair, the example on the pattern is a mechanic-like gray.)
  • “Those flowers are bigger than your head.”
  • “You’d fit in on That 70’s Show.

He clearly thinks he’s very hilarious.
