(Finally) Wearing Shorts!

Spring Outfit | Hunting for Pink Flamingos

Let’s talk about how proud I am of these shorts.

Last summer, I wanted a pair of jean shorts, but the only ones I could find were either super short or just long enough to hit my leg in a super weird place.

At the same time, I had a pair of jeans in my closet that I loved, butΒ I’d worn holes in them. So I decided that I was going to cut off my jeans into shorts.

I figured that the worst-case scenario was that I wouldn’t like the new shorts and wouldn’t wear them. But since I wasn’t wearing the jeans anyway, it wasn’t much of a risk.

A lot of my great ideas don’t really pan out, but this one did! The shorts fit and looked good and – most importantly – were comfortable! IΒ felt like I probably deserved a trophy.

In other news, I am making basically no progress in wedding planning. I haven’t booked hair, makeup, or a DJ, and I haven’t found a wedding ring yetΒ … and the wedding is three months away.

So we’ll see how that goes! On the plus side, we have the food booked, I have a dress, and the invitations are in my apartment. And I have friends who seriously procrastinated their wedding planning, and their weddings were great. So I’m going with that approach for now. πŸ™‚
