Lace-Up Dress

Floral lace-up dress for spring

Back in February, I worked with my friend Gina to do a post about clothing made in the US. She gave me the names of several brands she liked, and when I was researching where those brands were sold, I came across the cutest dress.

Up to that point, I’d been pretty hesitant about the lace-up trend, since it just seemed like extra detailing without much point. (Of course, you could say the same thing about bell sleeves, which I LOVE.) But I was slowly coming around to the lace-up idea, and I decided that if I was going to try to wear a lace-up neckline, a dress was the way to do it.

So I debated for what felt like an eternity (and was probably about five days) about whether or not to buy the dress. But it was $22, and I had a gift card, so the dress is now in my closet.

I still can’t get over how there’s a pile of snow in the background of these pictures. We shot them on Saturday afternoon when it was 75 and sunny, and the snow was left over from a three inch “snowstorm” (plus lots of freezing rain) almost two weeks earlier. What. Da. Heck.

But hey, at least it was warm enough to pull out shorts and dresses. Pool season will be here before we know it!

Thanks for reading!
