Playing Tourist In DC

Jefferson Monument

Two weeks ago, my friend, Gina, came to visit me for a long weekend. She’d never been to DC before, but since she’sΒ planning to visit again in July (for my wedding), the touristy spots weren’t necessities.

So this gave us a lot of freedom to play with our itinerary. We did some of the typical DC things (like the monuments) but we also did some not-so-touristy things (like hiking and going to IKEA).

Here’s a photo diary of our weekend!
