Leaving out my winter boots justttttt in case we get March snow.

I saw this Instagram postΒ last week, and I was cracking up over her comment about junior high clothes, braces, and hair. It made me think of a very special time in my sister’s life when she had thick red streaks in her blond hair. (We’re talking fire engine.) (Also, she specifically asked me to make them thick. Because yes, this was a home dye job.) And then she had my friend’s mom braid her hair into cornrows. It was a classic for sure.

Of course, I’ve had my fair share of bad hair decisions, too. Like in third grade when I put my hair up in pigtailsΒ at school right before school pictures. Without a mirror. So in my pictures, I have a stray chunk of hair in the back. There was also the time in high school when I cut my (very curly) hair up to my shoulders, and my friend, Jake, told me that I looked like a little Russian girl. Good times.

February was a relatively chill month around here, and I hope you had some time to catch your breath, too. Into spring we go!
